I've had dogs named Cheeto, Vito, Ruby, Angel, and Raiderette. My friends' dogs' names are Peanut, Butch, Cassidy, Lizzie, Joey, Katie, Zig, Mila, and Roxy.

Of course, it's really up to what your dog looks like and it's breed. :] I wouldn't name a dog who has a solid color ';Spotty';, etc.
what kind of dogs are they?

because i think its funny and cute if big dogs have small names and small dogs have big names. i knew someone with a saint bernard, named bo. my chihuahua who weighs 4 lbs is named penelope.

if they are medium sized, try a name like ralph, clide, fred. girls, molly, sadie.
I like them :)

My dogs names are Max and Nirvana (after the band) and I'm getting another dog soon who will be Billy if I get a boy, or Billie Jean if I get a girl (Michael Jackson song, yeah?)
Love Cujo, I like Roufus, Champion.

i really don't like the name Cujo.

have you read 'cujo' by stephan king?

its about a rabid killer dog named that, a lot of people associate that name with dangerous dogs

Just trying to make a difference.Whats the best site to go to to help teens with problems or give advice besides here?
Well im not sure if your Canadian or not, but try out Kids Help Phone, it's not really a site where you can give out advice, but its a company, try talking to them and maybe see if you can get a job with them if that is what you are interested in...Whats the best site to go to to help teens with problems or give advice besides here?

I am a teen who needs advice on bedroom stores?

im a boy teen interrested in in modern things. any stores that have cool bedroom furniture?I am a teen who needs advice on bedroom stores?
Most Target stores are also carrying some very cool modern pieces right now. During the summer months they seem to carry things geared towards a younger, more modern crowd (most likely because students are buying things before they head off to college). The prices are also very reasonable.I am a teen who needs advice on bedroom stores?
try http://www.dwr.com and or http://www.nextag.com
IKEA is rad. Most of their things are either WAY expensive, or WAY cheap, but the good news is that you absolutely can't tell if something came from the cheap or expensive end.

Also, as far as ';cool furniture,'; you might want to consider getting really simple furniture (light wood, chrome, or black finish) and letting walls/posters and your bed coverings do the work of being ';cool.'; That way, even if your tastes change, it's easier to switch blankets or decorations than to get new furniture when you're tired of some extremely-trendy piece.

What advice do you offer future teens?

first answer 20 ptWhat advice do you offer future teens?
Well I see I'm not the first answerer, but hopefully you will read this anyway.

#1 Finish school

#2 Don't give yourself away to the first person willing to have you

#3 Adults have years of life experience behind them listen sometimes

#4 Don't break the law you will regret it

#5 Don't start drinking smoking or using drugsWhat advice do you offer future teens?
Well, I'm not the first answer but I am still going to answer it, I didn't have any advice going into my teen years, (I am now almost 14) but I have a lot of morals and so I am getting along just fine.

1. Do not have sex until you are married!

2. Don't try drugs, smoking, or alcohol, no matter what!

3. Never put yourself in a position that you shouldn't be in, like getting in the backseat with a boy.

4. Don't go to any parties you know there will be alcohol or anything like that at.

5. Get involved with a Youth Group if you aren't already, because they will really help you through your teen years.

6. Have fun! You're only a teenager once...just make sure you don't go to far with your fun.
Just be careful what you wish for, do good in school, find some good friends that won't drag you down :)
The best advice I got as a teen was ';Don't do anything to get yourself pregnant or give you AIDS.'; It was very good advice!
Be whatever you want to be, but be the best at what you do.

Never settle for second best until the race is over...then run a new race.

Most of all, don't listen to career advice from other teenagers. Make an appointment to talk with your counselor at school more often than you have to go already.

Be patient

Always have hope

Always be humble: pride kills in the end.
Set reasonable goals. Think for yourself, don't be a follower and don't let people talk you into something you wouldn't do on your own. Don't be compelled to jump into intamacy and an involved relationship right in the beginning, get to know the person well enough to know ALL of their quirks and ';nasty'; habits and whether you could stand to live with them for the rest of your life first.

  • Any advice for a teen that wants to become a teacher?

i am only in highschool and i really want to be an elementary school teacher when i grow up. any advice as for what classes i sould be taking and things like that?Any advice for a teen that wants to become a teacher?
For now you can begin by seeing if there are any clubs for future teachers. At my hs we had Future Teachers of America (FTA). There may also be electives that allow you to spend time in an elementary or preschool setting. Before you make up your mind, please volunteer or spend time in a classroom. You will not know that is your calling for sure until you experience it. I started college with a major in biology education. I spent time in several classroom settings until I found out what was right for me and changed my major. If you need any information about teaching, please contact me! I will tell you the good and bad of what being an elementary teacher is like these days.Any advice for a teen that wants to become a teacher?
Don't do it. It's almost impossible to get a job as a teacher these days.
    listen in class a lot
A teacher is the next parent to children. The time you spend with your students, they should be treated like your own children (OK maybe brothers and sisters). A really favorite teacher should become a nice parent to the students. Make the kids feel they are not with some stranger, but their own guardian. By this way hthe relationship between you and the students will increase to the top. The students, on the other hand will show much more respect and love to you than others who act like boastfull proffessors. The magic to be used is

    *******LOVE*******
WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GET A TEACHER JOB?! I'M MYSELF A TEACHER!!There are numerous programs designed for that, but you'll have to do a bit of grooming yourself, believe me its easy! Just practice the following Hints:- Practice addressing a group of people, keeping in mind that you are always right and people will agree with you once they get your point. Try making a chain of things, starting from the basis of the issue you want others to understand, to the issue itself%26amp; problems relating to it. You can take down notes and carry them along, no one would mind it.Try to explain, but don't go to small details unless asked, this can create confusion.Always proceed stepwise.Try to have comand over your subject by studing in library or discussing seniors. Don't care if someone smiles or makes faces during your speech, start looking in his eyes, or start looking at some other person. Try to change the pitch of your voice during your speech to avoid boredom to others. Don't stop for questions, instead ask addresses to save them for the end. A little practice, %26amp; you won't need any tutoring or guidance program.
Well...go for it because you like it and not for the money. During my courses one of our instructors told us that it's one of the lowest paid professions and one of the most time consuming. You'll spend hours after school grading papers, working on curriculum. And summer vacation planning out lesson plans that meet the state requirements. Then there's the state requirements for further education for teacher's so you take more classes and in-services. The reason you teach is the enjoyment with the kids. Good luck!
Select a major, such as math, science, English, and social studies... and maintain a 3.5 or better average. Chances are good that you may earn a scholarship to a decent college by doing so. By the way, I'm assuming that you enjoy bowling, so I wish to enlighten you to the fact that bowling and fishing are my favorite pass times, I find these sports to be fun and relaxing. My current bowling average is 162, and I live in the Taylor Mi area of which is considered to be the bowling capital of the world.
I would start with your counselor.She/he can advise you on your states requirements.
SO HOW HAVE YOU TREATED ALL YOUR TEACHERS
Find out what the prereqs (classes to get in the program) and get those done. Dont take classes you dont need, most people say that later on they regret wasteing their time. So, different colleges can give you a list of classes that need to be done so to go on to the next step...good luck with everything!
In college I never thought about being a teacher. I did not major in Ed. I stumbled upon teaching by accident. I took a job (temp) to fill in for a teacher who took a one year leave (it was teaching in a two year college) I loved it-went to school one semester, took enough credits to get certified. I've never looked back. I teach Middle School. Getting up each day and going to teach seems so natural, almost like breathing. So I've been teaching for 29 years. In May I will get a M.Ed. in technology-total re-invig'. Obviously I'd say do it. However, when in college leave a lot of doors open. If I had not been so spread out in my credits changing to teaching would have been time consuming and $$ consuming. Find what kind of classes you like, gravitate toward them, look for teaching in that area. There are a lot more opportunities that people tell you about.
Ask your counselor to suggest what you need, study hard, make good grades and you'll earn what you want. Good luck.
Depending on if you want to teach older or younger kids, you may want to take a Child Development course. Psychology may be useful, but your college will make you take courses on teaching and psychology, so don't worry about it if you can't, or don't care to now.

In the meantime, you may want to get involved in assisting in elementary school classes if your school has a program for it. You may also want to look into working with children at day cares or at summer camps.

I'm in college now to become a secondary school teacher, and I know that with budget cuts the job market for teachers is uncertain, but in some states like Florida, they're desperate (I'm in Michigan, and they've put an ad in the campus paper for teaching students to go to Florida and teach). Be sure to go to a college with a highly rated teaching certification program, and schools will want you.

    Advice to Teens?

If you could tell a teenage one thing..advice that you wish you knew then ...what would it be?Advice to Teens?
i would advise all teens to enjoy their life and take things easy.... dont rush into things... like my mother always told me there is a place and time for everything in this life.. i wish i would off listen... stop and give thanks for all that you have .. thanks mom and dad for bringing me into the world. thanks for giving me a home. thanks for being my friend, give thanks!!!! have a bless day all....Advice to Teens?
To cherish your parents while you can and to realize that you are not as smart as you think you are and your parents aren't the idiots that you believe them to be. They base their decisions on love and concern for your safety and happiness.

    Bonnie Ramsey
I'd advise them to show respect for their parents; their elders period. A lot of teens think their grown already, and when adults try to guide them in the right direction, they curse the adults out or attack them physically, and this is not right. But, we're not allowed to discipline anymore, so no wonder teens act the way they do!
It doesnt matter most of them wouldn't be listening
Don't be in a rush to grow up. Enjoy your teenage years while you have them, because soon before you know it you'll have bills and a whole myriad of responsibility.

I need advice! From teens kids adults! Help?

Ok so here is the deal. So im going into the 8th grade, and my parents are divorced. Mom lives in FL and dad lives in NY. Before they split we all lived in NY. I live year round in FL (with mom, but visted dad every other month) So this hole summer im with my dad in NY,but I want to stay in NY with my dad and go to school here. I love my mom and all, but i really want to stay in NY. What should I do, I even pray to lord to let me live in NY. PS: i left NY at the end of 6th grade and went to 7th in fl. someone please help.I need advice! From teens kids adults! Help?
The best advice I can give you is to discuss it with your mother first. Let her know that you wanting to go school in NY has nothing to do with the way you feel about her. Make up a ';Pro'; list about school in NY and point out all the good things about it. Then tell her that you want to try it for just a year and see how it goes, if it doesn't work out you can always come home, right?

After you get your mom to okay it you'll have to talk to dad. He might not be ready or able to take on a teenage girl just yet, but dad's are always wrapped around their little girl's finger so i'm sure you'll have no trouble with him.I need advice! From teens kids adults! Help?
you need to discuss this with your mom. you need to explain to her that you love her very much, and that you love to spend time with her, but that you honestly believe the better situation for you is living in New York with your dad and your friends. you need to calmly and rationally explain your feelings about the situation, and if she genuinely cares about you, she'll have to at least consider it.
try and convince your mom hope she will respect your feelings

Why are all these teens asking for advice with pregnancy and relationships?Do you not talk to your parents?

Maybe their parents aren't always around to talk to.

Maybe they are growing up in a family that you just don't talk about that stuff.

As a mom to 2 girls, one who is a teen I make sure I am available for her to talk to and she does..everyday. Because of the openess I have with her, I mean I act like a mom not a buddy, but I do really listen to her, I found out her bf was seriously mental and I was able to get her out of that situation before she became a statisitc. She knows she can come to me and I will be there for her.

I wish more parents acted like parents and not buddies to their kids. They can be friends when the child becomes an adultWhy are all these teens asking for advice with pregnancy and relationships?Do you not talk to your parents?
It's heartbreaking. So true. It's like some parents don't have time for the children THEY had

My teenager gets picked on because she doesn't dress like a hoochie mama and has never worn a thong..She is only 13!!

Why are all these teens asking for advice with pregnancy and relationships?Do you not talk to your parents?
The question you should ask is ';do parents not talk to their teens?'; Parents need to become more active in their teens lives and not be embarrassed to talk about stuff like sex with them.
Let's be real here, they are dense little creatures, they don't know that their parents are the best ones to ask for advice, no matter how embarrasing, they know best...ugh! Somebody knock some sense into these hormone driven teens!
Haven't you been a teenager before? No ones does that, cos parents nag when they are worried, u dun need extra stress on ur problems.
    Amen
maybe they are afraid to talk to there parent or just maybe they dont have parents that give a crap about them
Maybe the parents don't talk to the children, they are (the parents) probably were children when they had children and they dont know what to say,and the children dont know what to ask.
no they young in love and the rest just want sex i mean im one and this girl cant say her name but wow i really wish i could have sex with her she reminds me of my ex lover emy wowwww through i see her in a diff limelight to emy i dont love her but i lover her in sex i havent had sex with her yet but truly her attudiue just turns me on i look her only in this way and maybe love who knows but it suxs she wasnt my first love at first sight so pity i wasnt younger to begin again
No they don't talk to their parents. The fact that you're seeing so many online is telling you that their parents aren't paying much attention to them either. I feel for them, but I'm grateful that they are at least trying to get some kind of help somewhere.

We just have to pray that they are paying attention to the good advice that's out there. And if you have any knowledge you can share with them, please do so.

We were like them once before too.
Some kids don't have a good relationship with their parents. It's sad that sometimes strangers are better listeners than the people who raise you.
Sometimes people might feel like they can't talk to their parent about everything, and they just want advice from someone who doesn't know them, will never know them, and won't judge them.
You'd be surprised how many teenagers are afraid to talk to their parents, because they don't want to get in trouble for their actions. Teenagers do make mistakes, it's part of growing up.
Most teens I know (and knew when I was a teen) would be hesitant to discuss those topics with their parents...it's easier to find out elsewhere, and only adress it with the folks, if there's a serious issue and they need help...

More parents should make sure they have the type of relationship with their kids, so that the kids DO feel comfy going to them about that stuff...but far too many do not...
    they don't have parents?
Ok pregnancy I agree but relationships I don't. You don't own the yahoo answers and you do not have the right to crictize others for asking relationship questions. It's not your job, now quit acting like you own us all like all of you other people who ask the same question about why teens ask this blah blah blah. No one gives a crap except you guys. We do it when we want unless Yahoo changes it.
Sometimes they are so afraid of their parents because they have committed a mistake and the blame is often with them. So most of them go to their ';trusted'; person, say a counselor. And most of the time they find it difficult to talk to their parents because they fear them, think of a nagging mother and a dominating father. Also it is with the environment they are in that is why they dont ask advise from their parents, think of a conservative family and a child pregnant out of wedlock. So there are many factors affecting why the children dont tend to talk to their parents regarding this issue. Bottom line is there is no open communication between the parents and the child. I hope i have help you with your question. Good luck!
its embarrasing to talk to parents. then they suspect you of actually having sex
Well, for some.. their relationships with their parents aren't as good as others. Some may have really strict parents that don't even know they are having sex.. or even religious parents where sex is...not good. I think it's great that there is such a thing here where people can ask and be answered.
    why do you care?

  • I need advice from teens?

My son is almost 13 and he hates school mostly because he gets picked on by other students. I have him in counseling and have spoken to the school several times but it just keeps happening. He has no self esteem and last night he told me he wanted to commit suicide. If you have anything ideas that would help or you were picked on... what helped you get through it.I need advice from teens?
i went through the same things last year. i am currently in 8th grade, almost 14 and last year i was in a class where all the girls were two-faced and picked on me. i hate to see anybody have to go through this because i know it hurts. i was not good at any sports so this year i changed to a bigger school with a bunch of extra things you could be in such as band, one act play, BETA (an organization for highly talented kids), UIL. I am not your average girly girl that is popular and is liked by all the boys. I was the one being picked on. I had no self esteem but when I got to tired of being picked on, i couldn't do it anymore. I went home crying everyday from being called FAT and people being jealous just because I happened to be the smartest girl in the class.

Does your son have any special talents or activites he likes?

If so, try looking for a school that offers this talent. My mom encouraged me that in this world there are people who care, you just have to look for them.

Since I have moved schools, I have gained a load of confidence and self esteem. I have learned that not everyone is going to be nice at first, but just show them the true you and it will all work out. I now have friends I can depend on and they can depends on me.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

Sometimes these feelings of depression are actually chemical disturbances in the brain - and cannot be fixed by simple counselling or lifestyle changes. Have you been to see the doctor? This is really important, because depression often goes untreated because people dont realise that its a serious illness; a side effect of it can be the fact that he does not want to go to school too - or why he has troube to socialise with the other kids (feeling shy, unable to defend himself, etc).

I had the same prob growing up - and I was picked on a lot too. It was related mostly to adolescence and hormonal changes - which was reeking havoc on my brain - and how I was feeling. I was medicated at the time - which proved to be a huge relief and helped me to then be able to talk about why I was having trouble to go to school, why I felt miserable and to work on my self esteem.

My younger brother committed suicide however, and I can tell you now that I regret to have not taken him to see a doctor at the time, and to not have been able to stop him from making his choice.

Go and get medical help - especially if suicidal thoughts are involved.

And be there to listen - no matter what. Although I'm sure you would be a great parent already from the fact you are so concerned about your son.

    Good luck...
I was bullied when i was his age, luckily it was never sever enough for me to even contemplate suicide and the bully gave up when a girl i know became friends with her. I think you should arrange another meeting with the school, the headteacher, and make sure they are fully aware of the seriousness of this. If they continue to do nothing try and find another school for him to attend. Let him know that you love him and keep communicating with him.
wow this is identical to my older brother. when my brother was 12 he was so badly bullied that he did commit suicide. 10 months before he died he threatened it. this is very serious. if the school wont do any thing about it you have to, its not a joke. ive been through it and it is disgusting and not fair. my brother was on medicine, seeing a psychiatrist and we have complained to the school about what was happening. you have to protect him..
well to get his self esteem up you can put him in a sport. that way he can make friends and build up confidence. tell him to ignore those who bother him. he is better than they are. ask him to involve in certain school activities. being a teenager is great fun, the more he moves through life the more friends he will make. good luck :)
ask him if he wants to move.

try putting him in extra activities, sports may not be his thing, try telling him to take up guitar (which tons of girls find attractive, plus he'll make new friends from it) or drawing, photography.

he just needs to find something he loves doing, and you need to support him. put him before everything so that he feels important.

he doesn't need any professionals, he needs friends.

try signing him up for a pen pal, that would actually work really well.

    good luck :)
maybe ask him if he wants to go to another school? ask him if he wants to improve: new clothes, a haircut, etc. my best bet is another school. he can have a new beggining, and make new freinds along the way. tween years are tough, but they get better. once he gets to high school, he could switch schools. tell him not to give up, and that god is looking after him.
I am not a teen , but I feel bad for him after hearing your story, because alot of teen commit sucide because of being bullied, it is horrible. I would say buy him some hip new threads :) and get him enrolled in a new school.

They sucide comment is very serious and he needs out of that situation.

    Wish him and you luck
I was never picked on really but I do have to move all over and it's hard to make friends. If he has been to that school for a long time then maybe going to another school will help him. That way he can start over new. Middle school is really tough. Once you're in high school it will get a whole lot easier!

    Good luck!
    erm lets see

WHAY DONT YOU GET HIM SELF DEFENCE LESSONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Plus find him other sports...

break dancing, parkour, skateboarding, absiling find what he is good at.

    Or find a coffin
you should put him in a mental hospital asap for major help!! you should also consider switching his school

Who thinks teen forums/advice sites need better age seperation?

I feel forums regarding young people should fall into two catagories 13-16 and young adult 17-19. There is a huge difference in the two groups, the young adults are adults able to join the military, move out on their own etc., where the younger teens are still very dependant on their parents etc. I think a broad forum trying to cover such a broad range of levels does not work very well and causes confusion.Who thinks teen forums/advice sites need better age seperation?
If you're referring to this forum, it's actually an excellent way to communicate. I'm 19, and while I don't need advice from people my age and younger, I feel that I have some worthwhile things to say, especially to younger girls (13-15) who are going through things I have gone through myself.

Also, since there is no real way to control who goes into what forum in a chat room setting, setting age restrictions on who can be where would not work.

There isn't as huge a difference as you think. I have more life experience than the 13 year olds, definitely, but I WAS them 6 years ago. Definitely in maturity level, there is a difference between a 13 year old and a 19 year old. But a 16 year old and a 17 year old are on about the same maturity level. There aren't many differences. Putting them in separate forums doesn't make sense. That's probably why there aren't any.

Also, it's great to meet people of all ages and walks of life, because there are so many different opinions out there, and it's a great way to stretch your brain, to talk to different people and trade opinons.

With the adolescent section on Yahoo Answers, I think it was originally intended as a place for parents of adolescents to talk about their adolescent children and figure out what to do with them, and it's grown into a place where teens go to ask for advice and parents of teens go to figure out what on earth to do with them.

It definitely does not cause confusion. It's a little disorganized, maybe, but there really isn't a better way to organize it.Who thinks teen forums/advice sites need better age seperation?
Anytime both age ranges are together it can cause problems/ confusion etc.

Both categories should be seperated, they should not be talked to as if they were on the same level.

And neither one of these age groups are grown!!! Lol!

Surely they will fix this problem!

No, but I do believe that there should be some sepration. For example, there should be a forum where you must be under 18 to join, or a forum in which you must be over 18 to join.
I think there should be an age limit on here! It would stop all these kids from wasting our time with dumb questions that they are making up just to p.o. the adults that have real questions and advice!

I would be mad. I'd be sitting in the living room with the joint waiting for him. Give him the ';you are in so much trouble'; look and show him the joint and see what he says. That will at least get the conversation started. Me, personally...I would have my child's ***.Parenting advice on teens and drugs?
Calm down it's only a half a joint, he's not snorting heroin.

Explain to him that weed will have an affect on his performance in sports, tell him that you love him and not to do it again.

    Dating advice for teens?

I don't want to be one of does people who post a question just to see the response or whatever. I really want to know tho if I'm the only one who comes to Yahoo Answers looking for answers and trying to honestly help people with there questions only to find a shocking amount of teens asking for dating advice and even advice on sex and stuff. I know this is a very ';modern age'; were are living with and I myself am not that old but, really I need to read some 15yr old's question about whether or not he should be having sex with another lil girl who has already had sex? I'm not talking 19, 18, or even 17yr olds here I'm talking as young as 12 asking basically the world dating advise and sex advise and it really upsets me that 1. children are actually like this now a days and 2. ppl actually answer and try to help.

So...am I the only one who feels this way?

I would not mind trying to give advice to an ADULT on these subject so don't think I'm some old prune who does not want anyone having sex. Just not kids...not well publicly in a way.Dating advice for teens?
I agree that a lot of them are too young to be having sex, as far as the advice goes, it depends on what advice is being given. If it's tricks and such, then that is completely wrong; if it's advice on safe sex then I agree with it. While they may be too young to be having sex, they will be having it so it's best that they are at least well informed on that topic.Dating advice for teens?
You are totally right, kids shouldn't be having sex and adults ( or teens) shouldn't give them advice on having it.

    Advice for teens..?

    hey people on yahoo answers!!

ok, so i currently wear hijab to school, im 13, and in 7th grade.

(dont say those lame a** answers that dont help me at all so dont even bother answering if you're gonna do that)

anyway, my problem is that im confused whether i should keep wearing it or wear it at the end of 8th grade or in 9th grade.

yes, i believe in wearing the hijab and not just because my religion told me to

so i need advice on what i should do

also, if i DO take it off, i would need permission from my parents so how would i tell them in a way they would understand??

i need help here. so give serious, helpful answers

    thank uAdvice for teens..?
It really depends on why you feel you need to take it off. If its because you feel its not cool enough than maybe you can alter it in some way which makes you feel better about wearing it. If its because you don't believe you should be wearing it than that's a different story because no one can force you to continue. It took me a long time of trial and error before I was happy with which style of hijab I wanted to wear and I don't let anyone deter me from it because it makes me aware at all times to keep on the straight path. Its very hard to wear a hijab. It takes alot of guts and you really have to want to do it or else you will just resent it so weigh your pros and cons and see what you can live with. Telling your parents will probably be hard especially if they are very religious but be strong and let them know that this may be a trial period for you. Also explain to them your true feelings maybe they can help you. Being a teenager is hard enough in life so I can understand how wearing the hijab can be even more difficult. There are a few videos on youtube with different styles of hijab that are very pretty. Also the Humza Yusuf video on hijab is my favorite.Advice for teens..?
you have to be comfortable in your hijab some muslim women prefer to have it off others feel closer to god and feel there following what has been taught to them. in the end it will have to be your decision talk to god and seek within your self how you feel about wearing it.

You will get the answer you are seeking. Never do anything thats not coming from your heart you are the one wearing it . yes maybe not everyone see's it as normal but they are not you.

    good luck
    Tough question.

In this day and age, choice is yours. Your parents authority has priority...how do you discuss most of the things going on in your life with them.

Approach them with respect. At 13 you have enough intelligence to carry on a conversation with them.

Look at your pros and your cons.

    Why are you even questioning.

Peer pressure at all levels has been in existence forever.

How you address this situation is your choice.

How you resolve it can have the input of counselors (your parents) guidance.

Then the choice is still yours.
you shoudlnt need permission from your parents

if you want to wear it, wear it.

Islam is the choice of having freedom.
i know a couple cool muslim girls and they wear their hijab they dont let it hold them back so if you beleive in it then youre just keep it and you can save yourself the argument with your parents (it would probably be a tough one.)
i guess a hijab is a religious garment...

i'm in highschool and there are people who wear them. if you believe in wearing it, then keep wearing it.
Here is my advice: think into the future and consider if you think you will ever regret not wearing it. If you think you will regret not wearing it, then keep wearing it. Don't worry about what other people think about it. If you believe in wearing it, then they should respect you for that. And if they don't...forget about them!
i wear one to school right now, in 11th grade, 16.

well if you started to wear it and you believe in it, just keep on wearing it.

i know girls who have taken it off to the question and criticism of others, but if you really truly feel that way go ahead i guess.

i would advise you keep it on of course (blocks bad hair days)

and you can always wear colourful, matchy ones.

i would understand if your parents resented your decision. if you truly believe that you can't take it anymore and people are bullying you or whatever I'm sure they ll understand. but if everyones already used to you with it and you have friends and whatnot, there's no point in taking it off. There was no point in starting to wear it if you were going to take it off later anyways.
Are you confused about wearing it because some one is giving you trouble in school? If that's the case, then you might want to let a teacher or principle know. No one should make you feel bad about your beliefs. In fact, you're lucky because here you're allowed to wear it. In France and Turkey, religious dress is banned from public schools.

In any case, I've always thought it was really cool-looking. When I was in middle school, there were two sisters on my basketball team who wore head scarves and kicked butt at basketball! I admire that kind of confidence and religious conviction. I was especially impressed when I was 13 because I was so insecure about clothes and those kinds of things, but they were so confident.

For me, middle school was really hard because students were so mean to each other. I was always worried about how I looked and acted. But I think you should be proud of what you believe and dress however you like.

If you're thinking about not wearing it just because you don't like the way it looks or something, I guess that's your personal choice. As for your parents, tell them honestly how you feel. They want you to be happy in the long run, remember that, but they also want the best for you. And unfortunately, what might make you happy for maybe a month won't be the best thing for you in the long run. So think about this. It's your decision. Good luck. :)
keep it on its part of ur religion!

  • Advice for a teen seeking to own her own business?

I would really love to own my own book store its always been a dream of mine. I have been researching online and I have seen that there have been teens who started their own businesses. Reading is a very strong passion of mine, and I want to share it with the world. I am 17 by the way and currently a junior in high school, hopefully on my way to being a senior if everything works out OK. But anyway any help or advice would be greatly appriciated.Advice for a teen seeking to own her own business?

Hi, My name is Rene Burgess and I am an Independent Representative/Manager for Fortune Hi-tech Marketing. Feel free to look at my website www.fhtmus.com/reneburgess Let me know if you are interested in signing on as a Manager also. There is no experience required. You get all the training and information you need. If you are interested, give me a call at 877-234-5389 or email me at fhtm.rene.burgess@gmail.com This would be a good way to start, then with the fortune you would make from it (no pun intended), you can start your own book business. Hope I was helpful!
You are heading towards the right track. Having your own business is the way to go instead of working for someone else. Having your own business does involve some costs such as start-up costs and advertising. However, as long as the business is profitable, you don't even need to worry about the costs. I recommend that you start out by having an online business. Here you will learn how to market your product and how to operate your own business. Best of all, it is automated, so it makes your work more simple. Once you are experienced, then you can go ahead and move on to the the next level and that's to have your own bookstore. You never know, you may even end up having your own online bookstore! I know this online program, which is perfect for beginners. They are currently marketing a useful high quality e-books in categories like Marketing (general and online), Ebay tips and tricks, wholesalers and retail opportunities, affiliate marketing, and much more. The package also includes an amazing assortment of software to enhance your computing experience. The cost to get started with this program is just $20. You get a personal automated website that sells itself, and you get to keep the e-books and software too. But if you're a US resident, you can get everything for FREE. If you check out the link below and you find it interesting, let me know because I know the procedure on how to get it for FREE. I wish you the best of luck on everything.

    Advice from teens please?

so i am/was (don't really kow right now!) friends with this girl but recently we have started distancing.

although, i dont know why, but im a bit mad cause it was my birthday on the first and she didnt say happy birthday at all. no call, emal or message or anything.

how would you feel? would you be a bit mad?

what do you think she is thinking, and what would you do if you were me?

thanks so muchAdvice from teens please?
Its not worth it i mean you are 16 you have a life to live and this one girl is not important enough to make you stop living it you should have other friends and you should just keep your attention on them...If she comes back to you then then you can decide if you want to be friends with her again.

Hope this helped!Advice from teens please?
If it was only about forgetting a Birthday and not calling you, then I think you have to let this just go. BUT, If for example, you guys haven't seen each other in a while (1 month or more), you make the effort to call and see if they want to hang out, and they don't answer, than seems like they aren't really your true friend. Just let him/her leave. It's not like 1 person is going to ruin your life. :)
Well, if she didn't bother to call you on your birthday, then she probably has some kind of chip on her shoulder for you. If you really care about your friend and want to save your friendship...do your part. call her and try to talk to her, meet up with her and ask her where it went wrong.

If she doesn't want to do that, then just move on and appreciate the friends you have now. Friends come and go, may be she isn't the kind of friend you had once or should have now.

(luckly I'm 19 so i guess that still counts as a teen.)
Sounds like what I went through with one of my best friends. You have every right to be a bit irked. But try to understand where she's coming from, she may have been so flustered or caught up in her own world that she forgot. If she's a really good friend, you should have lunch with her or something, so you can get reacquainted. You might find out what was going on the day of your birthday.
Maybe she forgot or something came up so she wasn't able to call you. I know I was hurt when my mom didn't call for my 16th birthday and I told her too!! But no, your not wrong for feeling that way.
sometimes these situations show you who your real friends are.
did she know it was yor b day? if not then dont be mad, if she di.... then you are able to be mad.....
its not a big deal. b days dont mean much to me, they are just excuses to demand presents

Sounds to me like your beautiful. But don't be dumb. The guys will be all over you because your different and they will try to sleep with you. They will act like they really care and then tell everyone on the block what you did together. You're young and maybe naive - I don't really know- but don't fall for the crap. And don't be so hard up to date thats how you get losers. Having money doesn't make him a good guy - nor does having rep on the block. Trust you instinct and if you can'tfind something to do to take your mind off boys. 9 times out of 10 you'll meet someone at school. You you can get to know.Dating Advice From Teens Who Live In A GHETTO!!!!!!!!!?
Well, sounds like you're smokin, so if and when you start dating, just remember, don't whore yourself, if a guy only wants you for your body, he's not worth your time, and always have a taser handy. Either that or pepper spray.

Oh, and just be yourself, but not by yourself.
hood or no hood, just watch yourself. Sounds like you will be around people with ';street smarts';. just keep yourself together and do not challenge anyone. and I wouldn't say much about putting anyone down, even your old preppy friends.

at least you realize your in a different ';culture';. just always be careful, no matter where you live.

    Sex advice for teens?

I'm trying to have the sex talk with my teen-aged neice. She asked me a question that sorta stumped me. The question was: if a women is not on the pill and has protected sex on the week that she is ovulating what are the chances of her getting pregnant

    ?Sex advice for teens?
You have to remember even if she is using protection are they using it correctly, it can break etc. etc. So the possibility of getting pregnant are good.

I bet there is alot of people who have gotten pregnant by just using protection and not on the pill.Sex advice for teens?
    dont have any.
Tell her not to have sex.
There's always the chance of getting pregnant.

    CONDOMS BREAK.

please be legel before having sex.
Giive her a health book and let her read up on it.
tell her it's very likely to get pregnant. It doesn't matter if a person is using the pill and a condom or any form of contraceptive, they can still get pregnant. Hunny I got pregnant with a condom and using birth control. She needs to know the consequences, there are girls having babies at the age of 12 and all around there.
99% of teenagers already know basically all there is to know now anyways.

The birds and the bees are slowly becoming extinct...
    www.scarleteen.com

It's a really good website. Tell your neice to go on it as well
The pill should prevent ovulation. And if the ovulation does occur, maybe there were doses of other medicines or missed pill etc, then it is possible to get pregnant from that. And I dont recommend to anyone that they take the low dose birth control pills Ortho tri-cyclen low, i got pregnant on this pill. . . Good luck with your talk :)
Not having sex is the best thing.
First of all we all ovulate at different rates, so it depends on where the egg is at the time. Talk with her and question her about what she considers protected sex, her definition could be far from yours. The only sure way to avoid pregnancy is not to have sex!
I believe that a condom is 99% effective, when used properly, condoms are only used properly 46% of the time (according to the CDC) so I would say 5 to 7 % chance, alot less if the person she is with learns how to properly use a condom
If she has protected sex..She should be pretty safe..I, personally, would still talk to her about getting on the pill (just to be safe!)..Sometimes young people's hormones get carried away and they don't always have or remember to use condoms..
Hey, THE only way to guarantee no pregnancy is no sex. Why on earth does our culture encourage teens to screw around? Sounds like she does not need the basic 11-yr old talk. She already knows. How sad. What she needs is a good moral example from you. It is good that she is asking you since you are family and not keeping you in the dark. Sounds like she trusts you. Now be the adult.
    dont do it
if you use both systems you can still fall pregnant, but the chances are slim

I have never had any feelings towards a black girl ever, no idea why. I am in no way racists but for some reason it just doesn't happen. It could be the personality, all the black girls around me are extremely loud and obnoxious. I do know a lot of guys dating black girls so they are out there lol =P
Hey Im white guy and Black girls are ok. Megan Good is a hot black woman
most should, but if he's a douchbag and some really shallow person he may not.
I'm White and yes some black chicks are hotter than white chicks its mostly a racism thing if a guy likes a girl or not. But then again it just depends on how pretty you are :)
yea. i know i do, my last girlfriend was black. i can't really say exactly why becuase i like lots of different races (asian, white, black, latina, and all the others).

Teens-i need advice on how to stay awake?

i got a little carried away on the computer so right now it is 5:53am in ny and i cant go to sleep because i wont wake up till 3 or 4pm

i have anemia so it makes it harder to stay awake. My parents always know when i stay up all night and they hate it.

What can i do to stay awake and why do my parents get so mad when i dont sleepTeens-i need advice on how to stay awake?
i'm the same way. it's 6:12 right now and i obviously can't sleep either. i usually drink a lot of coffee with a lot of sugar :) (use 0 calorie sugar packets if you're concerned about nutrition). i've bought caffeine pills from a drugstore - they're cheap and work good, but only take the recommended amount. you can buy these things called 5 hour energy too. they're usually at the counter at drugstores and convenience stores. also, try and keep your mind on something besides sleep - watch tv or a movie, play computer games, surf the web, anything to occupy you.Teens-i need advice on how to stay awake?
l would actually go to sleep now, or else you won't be able to stay awake all day. l couldn't sleep until 6am and woke up at 9, and l could murder to go into bed right now, but l have to go out. So l would go bed, make yourself get up early, so on the night, you can go bed earlier because you'll be more tired. Avoid caffeine and fizzy pop during the day.

    Hope this helps! (:
    because they care about you

try keeping busy, don't get bored or you'll get sleepy.

i'm tired too, although it's 11:00 am here and to keep myself awake i'm gonna go and take a shower. this should keep you alert, especially if it's cold.

don't go for a long time without food or water, cos you need the energy to stay awake. don't eat things like chocolate, cos they'll give you a boost, but then you'll get really tired afterwards.

    good luck staying awake :)

Can I have advice from teens?

Okay..Im 13 and my names Bella and im in 7th grade.I like this guy named Ryan hes my older brother kyles best friend hes 15 and a sophmore but he likes me to he asked me out and I don't know what to say i asked my brother he said he wont be happy about it but if i really want to then i have his permisson my best friend Zach went biliztic when i told him...what do I do? should i say yes?Can I have advice from teens?
Gurl say yes to see wat happens but im 17 and im in skool n I know boys tat age are just tring to get as much gurls as possible trust me don鈥檛 ever go wit some 1 tat doesn鈥檛 go to the same school as you because in there school they are probably talking 2 some1 else therefore don鈥檛 waste ur time gurl tats y im single and im just waiting 4 the right 1 ur brother is trying to protect u soo listenCan I have advice from teens?
Why just teen advice? Why would you take advice from someone that has no experience?

I would say ';Yes';. Go ahead and go out. You can't expect your older brother to be happy about guys hittin' on you. He's going to be protective. If you try to do things to make other people happy, you'll never make yourself happy.
Ja, si, yes. What's the dilemma?
Well you could say yes, your brother will get over it and he said it was ok. I know people whose little sisters dated thier friends. My little sister actually dates one of my guy friends. It depends on how close you and your brother are and if you want to hang out with him in your free time..

well your best friend is a different story.. you should see why he hates the idea of you dating someone older than you so much. You may come to find out that he may have some undeveloped feelings for you. But if the reason is because of something bad about this Ryan guy.. trust your best friend and say no to Ryan.

And if none of this helped... your 13 your life has just started I doubt you will end up marrying Ryan so just take it slow and see how much u like him and if u think you really do then just go out with him. You can always break things off when ever things get uncomfortable.

**But remember you are 13 so make sure you make all the right decisions by following your gut dont be pressured into anything ( trust me you wont regret making the right decisions.)
tell your brother that your happy with this guy and he should be for you too
say yes who cares what your brother says. he a stuck up asshole and he wants you to himself for some incest tonight. you better watch out. hes coming for you. lock your bedroom door. or prepare yourself for the worst. you should probably tell every one that your brother wants you too.

    Bodybuilding for teens.i need advice!!!?

I'm 14 years old and have been thinking of taking bodybuilding supplements such as protein powders as I feel doing so will benefit me in building my muscles. The question is, which bodybuilding supplements are best suited for me? I have read many articles stating that supplements containing hormones or for boosting testosterone are not good for my age. What do you recommend I take to accelerate gains? Do you know any websites that could help?

And I weigh 125 pounds. Please help me with this!!Bodybuilding for teens.i need advice!!!?
don't worry about testosterone boosters--your test levels should be high at your age.

food is the best source of nutrition, but a powdered supplement like cytogainer can be of benefit, too--take some immediately after training, and then another before you go to bed.

also, remember--if you up your protein intake a lot, you need to increase your water intake, too, to help relieve the burden on your internal organs from the higher levels of protein.Bodybuilding for teens.i need advice!!!?
try protein bars...im trying to build muscle and gain weight and the ones i take are really good and taste delicious. the bar is called ';proto pure'; and the flavor is chewy chocolate chip and it tastes just like cookie dough. it has 32 grams of protein for each bar and 1 gram of sugar. they are healthier then alot of other protein bars too. also, u can just eat more protein in regular foods like chicken, eggs, cheese, peanuts/peanut butter, and turkey. eat 1 before and after ur workot(just after is ok) i like them alot and i actually eat them for breakfast.
Try not to rely on the protein powders. If you already have a weight training program stick with that.

Advice for a teen interested in becoming vegan?

I've been a born-again vegetarian for several months, and have considered veganism for quite some time. I want to do as little harm as possible, but it's difficult that my parents are typical omnivores. Our family gathers at our grandma's every Saturday for dinner, it's kind enough that she makes us vegetarian dishes on the side, I don't want her to think she has to make an extra dessert too so that it doesn't include milk or eggs. Or, most restaurants don't have vegan options. I want to support animals but I don't want to frequently inconvenience my loved ones as well. And I don't really have the means to get substitutes. Even though I'm 15 and can't drive yet, my brother is also a vegetarian so he could probably bring me to the supermarket. Yet still, I don't have a job and am also not really old enough for one yet (and I'm not very comfortable with babysitting so that's probably out of the question...) Any suggestions? Or should I just wait 'til I'm living on my own? Thanks.Advice for a teen interested in becoming vegan?
One thing you might consider is offering to bring a vegan dessert to your grandma's every Saturday-- get creative %26amp; bring something different %26amp; scrumptious every time. That way ppl would have the traditional desserts they're used to %26amp; the option of something new %26amp; interesting to try. Maybe your parents would be willing to give you some cash for extra chores you do around the house.

Don't listen to anyone who tries to say you can't be healthy if your veg. Even little kids can be healthy %26amp; happy without meat-- I happen to know some ;-)Advice for a teen interested in becoming vegan?
    I'd definitely ease into veganism!

Your family probably has a lot of vegan staples around already - beans, pasta, etcetera. Would your parents be upset at buying you some tofu or soy milk? It would be cheaper than them buying you meat. I assume your parents use plenty of vegetables and fruit in the house already. I was vegan for a while (can't any longer - I developed a bad soy allergy), and it was a bit difficult, but I felt super healthy - no artificial sweeteners, no bone-char bleached sugar or flour, and no butter really made a difference to what I ate.

I take from your answer that you're not comfortable with the idea of getting a job yet. Once you do, that will make it easier, but until then, I'd go slowly - maybe trying to eat vegan for a certain number of days a week. Also, you're right about restaurants - you won't really be able to eat much out except salad, not unless you check your choices carefully. It might also be difficult for you to find vegan toiletries and clothing if you don't have your own money yet.

Remember, you don't have to go vegan at the snap of a finger - just try to make what you think are positive choices as often as you can until you're in a situation where you can control what you eat completely.
dont go too fast with this, make sure your body cna handle the change first

as for your family, let them know that you can take care of yourself...so if hey are serving something that you refuse to eat, let the know that you will make something for yourself

in my family, if one wants to eat something different, then that person can as long as they prepare the food for themselves and join the rest of the family at the table.
Wait until you are living on your own. It will be a lot less stressful on you and the family in terms of relationships.
If you're worried about ';inconveniencing'; your loved ones, you're obviously not committed to the vegan lifestyle. Would it really be that hard for you to make your own dessert for saturday dinner?

Just because restaurants don't have an option called ';LOOK!!! VEGAN!!!'; doesn't mean anything. I eat out two or three times a week, like most Americans, but I simply don't eat animal products. ';No sour cream'; or ';hold the cheese, please'; are seriously not hard to say.

Soy milk is available at Wal-Mart, as are some dairy-free ice cream choices.

Congratulations on taking a stand for animals and your health!
If you're really serious and committed to being vegan you can do it.

Chances are there's food in your house you can eat that's vegan, and you can make yourself food. Couldn't you ask your parents to get you stuff at the store, my mom doesn't seem to have a problem with picking up soy milk for me. You could also try to find some vegan recipes your whole family will like.

As far as your grandmothers could you just not eat dessert? Or you could offer to make dessert for her. There are TONS of delicious vegan dessert recipes, I love Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero. The recipes are easy to make and taste delicious, I always use them with people who refuse to believe that vegan food can taste good.
I honestly think that becoming vegan while you don't have any of your own income will be very difficult! I applaud your convictions, and think you are doing a great job, so far, and it's nice that your grandma supports your vegetarianism. But becoming vegan will really limit your options, and as long as you are relying on others to financially support your diet, I would stick to being a vegetarian. (which is terrific, and obviously not easy, as it is). I'm sure this isn't the perfect answer to your question, but once you have a job and/or are out on your own, it is much easier to dictate what you can eat-especially with a limited diet such as veganism. Good luck in your journey!
Advice: Don't be a vegetarian or a vegan. Your growing body needs the nutrients that are only found in meat prducts, like fish and beef.

What kind of romantic book would you advice for a teen?

I've loved reading and was wondering what kind of book people recommend that has romance in it, but something that has humor and nothing to weird. What kind of romantic book would you advice for a teen?
These are some of my favourite teen romance novels, most are romantic comedies (humour) but some are romance fantasy. Anyway I hope at least one of them interests you...

The A List (series of 10) - Zoey Dean

About the goings on of the teenage children of the rich and famous, contains a wide variety of material - love, hate, jealousy etc. Loved it!

Girl Meets Boy, Guy Next Door, All American Girl, Avalon High, etc. - Meg Cabot

I absoloutly love Meg Cabot's books! I would especially recommend the Girl Meets Boy %26amp; Guy Next Door as well as the third in that series, I immensly enjoyed them! Some are intended for adults but most for youth and I love them all!

Lioness Quartet, Wild Magic Quartet, Trickster, etc. - Tamora Pierce

Tamora Pierce's books are mainly set in the land of Tortall in medieval times, they use the same characters just at different stages of their lives and different books/series' focus on different people. They consist of fighting, magic, love, etc.

The diaries of kelly ann (2 books) %26amp; Jumping to Confusions - by Liz Rettig

These recount the goings on of an older teenager as she strugles to make decisions and learn to trust in others. The second one, Now or Never is about her relationship with a boy and is funny but romantic and suspencful at the same time.

It's A Mall World After All - Not sure who wrote it though...

Comedy of a girl and how she falls in love with her best friend's boyfriend's bestfriend while stalking her friend's boyfriend in an attempt to prove he is a lying cheating scumbag. A very good read %26amp; lovey but funny at the same time.

I'd Tell You I Love You But I'd Have to Kill You - Ally Carter

About a girl brought up as a spy and enrolled in a leading spy school who falls in love with an ordinary boy and can鈥檛 tell him who she actually is. Funny. There is a second in the series called To Spy or Not to Spy, it鈥檚 just as good.

Possibly the S.A.S.S. series - Numerous Authors

About the travels of students and what happens to them on their stay - love etc. Not brill but an ok read

    Inheritance Cycle - Christopher Paloini

Love them, you have to read them, Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr!

Sweet Valley High Books - ???

I can鈥檛 remember who wrote these but they鈥檙e a pretty good read even if they are kind of old. If you鈥檙e into series鈥檚 these are good as their鈥檚 over 100 books

The Last Summer (Of You and Me) - Ann Brashares

A good book but immensly sad, it is probably better for older teens or adults.

    Twilight - Stephenie Meyer

I haven鈥檛 actually read any books by Stephenie Meyer but they鈥檙e so highly reccommended that I鈥檝e reserved one at the library. I believe that they鈥檙e a love story involving a vampire.

I have more suggestions if you want to hear them, just contact me or check out my website, http://www.freewebs.com/greatteennovels/

Hope you find something you like here! What kind of romantic book would you advice for a teen?
um well thats kind of personal opinion, but i really like any book by Sarah Dessen. all of her books have to do with relationships and romance, but they're real enough that you can relate to them. also, some of the dialogue is pretty funny, so i enjoy that (and it meets your humor wants). but besides sarah dessen, i just finished up a series (if you can call two books a series), and the first one is called ';tips on having a gay ex-boyfriend';. i know it sounds stupid but i actually thought they were pretty cute. the editing is not too great, but if you can read past that (no pun intended) its a pretty good book also. just thought these might help...again personal opinion has a LOT to do with choice of books, but i have similar taste, so i think you might like these.
I know you're probably going to read Twilight after getting bombarded with so many Twilight comments but after I would definitely recommend that you read anything by Sarah Dessen. For starters, I would recommend ';This Lullaby'; and ';The Truth About Forever';. They are young adult and romance books. They're usually pretty funny, and the characters are good.

    Here are some links: http://www.amazon.com/This-Lullaby-Sarah鈥?/a>

    http://www.amazon.com/Truth-About-Foreve鈥?/a>
I'd highly recommend anything written by Meg Cabot. They are romantic comedies specifically written for teens, very cute, and sooo hilarious! I love her so much, she's my favorite author. Try ';The Princess Diaries'; series, ';Teen Idol,'; ';Pants on Fire,'; and ';How to be Popular.'; Love 'em!
    The twilight series is amazing.

    Or check out books by Rachel Hawthorne such as ';Love on the Lifts'; or ';Thrill Ride';

Also the books ';Bass Ackwards and Belly Up'; and its sequal ';Footfree and Fancyloose'; have great story lines with both humor and romance in them!
HOW COME EVERY TIME SOMEONE ASKS ';whats a good book i can read?'; EVERYONE HAS TO SAY TWILIGHT?????

cant people ever suggest more than just twilight?? i mean come on

im pretty sure everyone on yahoo answers has read at least 99 billion twilight questions

    its so annoying!

i love twilight but the fact that its all people talk about annoys me so much
The Twilight series. Which consists of:

    Twilight-New Moon- Eclipse- Breaking Dawn
sigh you are about to get a lot of messages that say twilight, i dont know why they think such a crappy series is good
twilight . im sure you will love it . just read it its really good

I cant get my words accross, please help me out Late teens + Females advice would be extermely appreciated?

im a 19 year old guy who is apparently really decent, nice and good looking. i really like this girl and she says she likes me but has been messing me around by not making effort for me at all. I dont want to end what we have completely but things dont look so good at the moment.

if i said..... look i really like you so much but i really dont feel as though you make any effort for me. Until you are ready for anything to happen im going to leave it because i have waited so long for you. But please dont do anything that will hurt me or lose my respect for you because i think you are fantastic.

is that a nice way to say it? im worried that she would go and do things with some guy who doesnt like me and has the hots for her to get at me though.I cant get my words accross, please help me out Late teens + Females advice would be extermely appreciated?
I'm a 23 year old female, this is my p.o.v. of your situation... hope it helps! :) You sound like a really sweet guy. You should expect the same effort from her that you put out there. I don't think this girl respects you, I think she will treat you like a doormat until you lay down the law.

If you say all that and she goes and messes with that other guy, then is she really the right girl for you? I don't think so.I cant get my words accross, please help me out Late teens + Females advice would be extermely appreciated?
well...it will be her loss....just let her know how you feel....and wat you wrote...thats a real good way to let her know....be completely honest....in time she will realize that you were probably the right guy for her!! ;)
That sound good to say, really good actually. That's you stepping up and being the bigger person. Maybe she's not ready for commitment, but I know everyone hates to hear ';leave her/him alone';, but if she would do something to try and get to you then leave her alone. You seem like to nice of a guy to let someone do that to you. Good luck!
Don't say anything to her, just move on. If she wanted to be with you, she'd be with you, not messing around with other guys.

What she's doing is keeping you on the back burner until she wants you. That's not fair to you. I wouldn't say anything to her, I'd just accept that this is the person she is, maybe one day she'll come around, but don't hold your breath.

Sometimes when you lose something you've been taking for granted, you realize how much it means to you. Hopefuly this is the case for you.

    Good luck :)
that is a really nice way of showing her that you like her but she is treating you badly. but i don't think shes worth it otherwise she wouldnt have messed you around
I think what u wanna tell her is spot on and if she decided to go with your mates to ';get back at you'; shes childish and NOT worth it, you do sound like a nice guy. all the best
