A mom needs teens advice!?

my daughter is 9 years old, and started her period today for the first time. :) i am just wondering if you all would tell me what brand and style of pads you use, so i know what to get her. i know this seems like a strange question, but im alot older, and your opinion would be better.A mom needs teens advice!?
i know!!! since she is small. Get her always sleder!!!! they work good! the leak guard is perfect and they are so skinny! or get the regular.

yeah !!! My stepdaughter started hers last year and she came to me first before even telling her own mother,,, then when she did tell her mother her mother called me and asked me what kind to get her.... so here goes,,,,


first of all dont get her the really thick ones, they are uncomfy and feel awkward,, so get her like the


Stayfree Ultra thin with wings.... they are thin and still hold a large amount of blood if needed. and the wings keep them in place,,,, also other brands are,, Kotex Thins with wings,


anything Thin...... will work,,,,, Good luck E mail me if ya need to... the thin ones dont show the awkward bulkyness that regular pads can show!!


I forgot to say that ,,,,, The ones made by Kotex come in a small white wrapper with pink flowers on them and are wrapped small enough to fit in your palm,, Alyssa likes these cause she can hide them better in her purse!! or Backpack
i use always or kotex regular with wings cuz it works fine. andddd it stays in place. i never get leaks with them even at night.





also kids dont get their periods early because of the food they eat. they get it because its their bodies turn to start. big deal! the age to start your period is between 9-16. i started mine at 9 and i ate just fine and i wasnt fat. so that has nothing to do with it.
Wooah harsh answer up there.... in nicer words, larger children tend to start earlier. BUT NOT NECESSARILY :) If she is large, it's a big neon sign to do something about it. Especially while she's still young... improving her eating habits will be harder when she's older.





Anyway. I use the same as my mum. There's no special teenage brand.


So... Always. Tampax. etc


As she's nine... I would avoid tampons.
My heart goes out to both of you. 9 years old wow, that is young. I am not a teen but looked this up and the Always brand seems to be popular. I would just buy several styles, wings, no wings etc. and let her choose.
i use stayfree ulrta thin overnight with wings every time i get my period. i use them during the day because they are longer.
okay well the first person that answered this is stupid.





get her Kotex or any store brand. and tell her about becoming a woman and stuff.





make her feel special.

I started mine at 10. My mama bought me the Always pads, the ones with the wings and the ones without. I've been using them every since.

Always silk, nice and soft and think and safe.
Try always their not too thick or too thin, just find the smallest ones they have.

kids get their periods too early because of the hormones in food they eat (steak etc.) stop feeding her, she's probably fat
