I'm glad you asked about that. Here's a surefire way:

Change your lifestyle and do this forever. Drink lots of water, walk an hour every day except 1 then do stretching and upper body toning. Eat fruits %26amp; vegetables.

No sugar

No sodas

No candy

No chips

No potatoes

No pasta

No pizza

no corn

no bread

no burgers

no fried foods

Weight training, light weights with say 15 reps x 3 will give you muscle tone without giving you big muscles (it's very rare for a girl to develop Madonna-type muscles anyway). Do cardio, running, swimming or stepper etc to ensure good heart and lung function. Keep it up, don't get obsessed and make sure you eat healthy food (lean protein, lots of fruit and veg) and a little carbohydrate
I'm not a teen, but am thinking about this question for myself too. I already have a routine of walking every day and I feel good about that, but I think I've gotten in the habit of snacking a little too 'freely'. I've decided that, when I have a choice, I'll choose the less fatty items. Good luck.
