Learn to prioritize. While it sounds a bit cliche, it's true. Balance out all of these ';duties'; and prioritize them. Start by importance, first and foremost. I'll start the lead by saying school takes more priority than anything, PERIOD. Second, a relationship is exactly that, a relation between two people. Ask your boyfriend if he's ever been in your situation, rather or not you know he has. Ask him if he can relate to what you're going through right now. If so, ask for advice, because experience is the best kind of knowledge there is. If not, explain to him your situation, and ask him to be patient, if anything. If he doesn't want to comply, then part your separate ways and move on. Next, think about violin, playing an instrument, period. It might be fun to escape to a place that's all your own, but consider the fact that a violin, one, isn't much of a career path; and two, the fact that hobbies will always be around to pick up where you left off. Finally, while having a job and going to school can teach a lot of important skills in life, it can always be very disastrous to your grades and performance when it comes time to walk the talk. Consider, if nothing else, putting down the violin and job for right now, so that you can focus on strengthening your relationship with your partner AND improving your performance in school. Good luck, and God's speed.Teens who work, go to high school, and do other stuff.. i need advice!?
I worked a job from my sophomore year through the summer before my senior year, so that I could not work for my senior year. I saved and saved and saved.
I had Fridays and Sat's off during marching band season and whatever else I needed in the spring due to choir/band events.
I didn't have a social schedule, just friends, and I didn't own a car until I was 23.
I only worked about 15 hours a week, three days after school and one day on weekends. I was off by 8pm on school nights.
You have to be a good worker and a responsible person for your scheduling manager to give you the hours you want.
its not that hard. its just preparing you for adulthood.
I didn't work my freshman year of high school; however, I worked part-time my sophmore and junior years. During my senior year, I worked two part-time jobs in addition to classes. I also participated in volunteer opportunities and clubs, and I had a boyfriend during some of those years. Yes, it is hard -- but it is also doable. You will quickly learn how to prioritize your responsibilities.
The plus is that the organization skills that you will learn (and the ability to prioritize) will really help you in college and in the workplace. Good luck!
It can bed done as long as you keep your education as your first priority./
